Based on Fluoropolymer technology, ACM's fabric protection treatment is a fabric protection treatment applied by spray application. We use a high-quality Australian manufactured water-based product that puts an invisible barrier to soil and stain penetration around carpet and fabric fibres. Spillages can be vacuumed up or sponged off easily, leaving the carpet clean and fresh.
Being a water-based product, our treatment takes from 4 to 6 hours to dry, depending on temperature, humidity and fibre density. It is an air-cured product which reaches a high level of stain repellency when it dries and continues to develop more repellency over the following weeks.
Wherever possible, carpet should be left to dry for 24 hours before use.
The high repellency provided by the treatment will enable liquid spills to be blotted up before a stain occurs.
Providing proper upholstery cleaning methods are followed it shouldn't remove our well applied protection treatment. This is where using the proper cleaning agents is important. However, it does wear over time. Under normal circumstances, we recommend re-application at around 3 to 4 years or after the second clean, depending on the use it is getting.
ACM's fabric protection products will not make your product in-vulnerable, but it will give you the best chance of stain removal, either yourself or by a professional.
REMEMBER: all fabrics can be permanently stained by soiling if left unattended after a spill.
ACM's fabric treatment is designed for use on properly cleaned carpet, drapes, rugs, cloth items and fabric-upholstered furniture (but not leather).
The products ACM uses for our fabric protection treatment, conforms with all statutory environmental requirements. It is based on safe ingredients selected to perform efficiently so there is no waste or damage. Being water based, it is non-flammable, phosphate free and free from hydrocarbons.
Our fabric protection treatment containers are cleaned and reused when we return them to the manufacturer, significantly reducing plastic usage and waste.
They can also be recycled.
